Show Information
The Russian Symphony Orchestra dates back to 1938 to the opening of Russian Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theatre and is the oldest symphony orchestra in Bashkir. Over the years the orchestra has been directed by leading conductors from all, over the world. Today Robert Luther serves as its Musical Director and Chief Conductor.
This evening the orchestra will play under the baton of H.E. Rear Admiral ML Usni Pramoj, Privy Councillor. M L Usni Pramoj helped to pioneer western classical music in Thailand as the co-founder of a chamber orchestra which subsequently metamorphosed into the Bangkok Symphony Orchestra. Today, he continues to be active as a conductor, violinist, violist, and composer. He is a Thai National Artist, as well as recipient of the Asean Award for the Performing Arts.
The programme for the evening features: Fantasy Overture from Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Romeo & Juliet, Dmitri Kabalevsky’s Violin Concerto (with award-winning violin soloist Liliya Nigamedzyanova from Russia), and Ludwig Van Beethoven’s 7th Symphony.
