Zurich Ballet is one of Europe’s foremost ballet companies and its Artistic Director Heinz Sporeli, is considered among the leading choreographers of Europe. Spoerli introduced the dancers of Zurich Ballet to the very best choreography available on the international market as well as his own: the majority of Spoerli’s ballets performed by the Zurich Ballet have been created for them. Their repertoire is extensive, moving from classical to contemporary works with ease featuring some of the finest dancers on stage today. In Bangkok they will present Winds in the Void (In Den Winden im Nichos), a three-part abstract ballet comprising 18 interlinked, fleeting dances. A music-driven ballet, it is pure dance without narrative. Claudius Herrmann, a cellist with the Zurich Opera House, will deliver an expert reading of the Bach score, providing beautiful live accompaniment for the dance.
