Paul Taylor has riveted audiences from the word go. Whether investing everyday movement with breathtaking beauty or unforgettable archetypes like ‘ a desperate woman hungering for love at a dive in Buenos Aires, a fundamentalist preacher with a chequered past, an ageing eccentric dancer performing a grotesque dance’ Taylor created magic. Today, the company he created in 1954 is considered one of world’s foremost modern dance companies.
