The Georgian National Dance Company gave its first performance half a century ago and has ever since won acclaim afrer acclaim the world over. In 1946, they first performed in Moscow; and the entire Soviet Union became their stage. Instantly, in 1948 the Dance Company performed overseas for the very first time – at Helsinki, Copenhagen, Paris, Romania, Budapest, United States, Britain, Australia, etc., and the rest was history. The company moved from success to success. It is perhaps one of the most sought after dance companies in the world and they are going to be in Bangkok for the Festival.
