Renowned for its unique fusion of ballet, flamenco, contemporary, and Cuban popular dance, LADC has forged a signature style that reflects the rich diversity of Cuban culture and captivates audiences around the world.
LADC has performed to sold-out crowds in major international venues such as New York City Center, Broadway’s New Victory Theatre, Shanghai Oriental Art Center and many many more. In 2016, Litz Alfonso received the International Honour Award from First Lady Michelle Obama at the White House, in recognition of her exceptional social and educational outreach benefiting thousands of Cuban youth.
Cuba Vibra! is an authentic, energetic, and colourful production that takes the audiences on a journey through Cuban rhythms and dance, from the 1950s to the present. Each scene reflects the vibrant syncretism of Cuba’s Spanish and African roots, performed by a cast of young dancers and musicians whose technical refinement and infectious energy command the stage. Crafted with elegance, precision, and exuberance, the production radiates rhythm and joy, delivering a contagious spirit that sweeps across the audience.
